Something that I learned is how privileged I was to grow up on a farm and have fresh produce at my finger tips.

I remember one day being at school and pulling an apple out of my lunch bag and a friend looking disgusted because I didn’t wash it. I laughed it off because… no one ever told me I had to wash the apple I picked from the tree.

As kids, we always helped my grandma in the garden. I loved picking a fresh cucumber off the vine and just biting into it (a little dirt never hurt anybody haha), or grabbing a crabapple from the tree. Tomatoes, peas, carrots – all taste so much more delicious when they’re fresh from the garden!
